The Rhino
Another U turn off a road led me to this run down shack that had some beautiful artwork and this rhino head. The Mojave desert and Joshua Tree are always a place of mysticism. The shack appeared to be used as a place of ritual and the rhino was the center of their worship.
Stand Up
In Joshua Tree is a wonderful outdoor art exhibit by Noah Purifoy. I'm always fascinated by his exhibits and how they relate to our current world. this small figure had been placed on a stage in one of his exhibits, a very fitting placememnt.
Jailbreak
A former gas station and hotel in Arizona had an eery feel on a chilly spring day. The ruins were bright and colorful but the vibe was that of a crime scene.
Unleaded
Miles and miles go by until you stumble upon this colorful oasis of what was. A former gas station and hotel in Arizona with some awesome graffiti.
Room with a View
While travelling along a remote stretch of pavement in Utah, I came across this abandoned ranch. The elements had taken their toll on the buildings but the view was still spectacular.
Along the Highway
If you've traveled along scenic highway 395, you have probably seen this home. Hard to believe someone would walk away from this view, but the property is in disarray and will not be standing for long.
Temple of Doom
In the epicenter of this abandoned monastary is this altar surrounded by pillars. Ruins of the old monastary remain, but time, nature, and graffiti are slowly taking over.
