Golden Spire
A spire of sandstone is illuminated by the setting sun on Cathedral Rock. I got soaked by an incoming storm on the way out but it was worth every second for this shot.
Thunder & Fire
Heavy monsoons showere Sedona on this day but I had a hunch the sun would break through for a show. I scrambled up the slick rock just in time as this scene unfolded.
Thirsty Cactus
A huge cactus on the red rocks is thankful for a huge pool of water to help it grow and keep green.
Slippery Slick Rock
A classic Sedona location that features small puddles in the rock after rain and snow. This trip I tried to catch the mid day reflection of the rock.
Purple Prescott
Prescott is known for many things, but Watson Lake is one of it's crown jewels. While hiking one evening, I was fortunate to see the skies turn every shade of purple. This little tree was there to witness it also!
Witness to Greatness
After a stormy day and a steep climb to the top of Cathedral Rock, I was joined by only one other brave soul. They made a great model on this backdrop of greatness.
Hidden Pool
While hiking a not-so-popular trail in Sedona I stumbled upon this scene with a naturally flowing spring on the red rock.
Swirly Skies
I'm no weather forecaster, but these clouds provided a unique look on one of my familiar locations in Sedona.
Fire on the Horizon
This location requires a tough bush whack to get to, and an even harder trek home back down a gully in the dark. It's always a gamble when I put in the work to reach this location, this time it paid off.
Sandstone Guardians
Huge slabs of sandstone tower above me while shooting the moody skies beyond.
Town Overlook
One of my "secret" shooting locations in Sedona brightens up after a storm clears. In the valley below, the town awakens to the sunlight and color.
Fire on Cathedral Rock
Cathedral Rock is one of the most popular places to watch the sun set in Sedona. The best time to go is after a storm, the hike is more challenging but far less crowded and if you get lucky, the heavens will light on fire!
The End of the Road
This is a very popular spot for the locals of Sedona, and it is literally at the end of the road. Listening to the running water while viewing the Cathedral above makes this one of my favorite spots.
Golden Warmth
Thesun's golden rays break through and heat up the rim of the Grand Canyon on a chilly morning.
Snow, Sun, and the Grand
A cold, dark, and snowy morning brought me footsteps from the rim of the Grand Canyon. As the sun peaked over the horizon, I captured my signature starburst. The suns warming light were welcome on my frozen fingers.
Snow on the Crest
A chilly morning hiking through the snow to capture the sunrise over the south rim of the Grand Canyon.
The Grand Expanse
It's so hard to explain the shear vastness of the Grand. In this photo, I wanted to highlight some of the nooks and crannies hiddesn in it's vastness.
Close to the Edge
A snowy winter evening standing on the edge of the Grand Canyon with one of my signature starbursts.
Watson Alpenglow
Watson Lake in Prescott, AZ is one of my favorite places to hike, buy I find it hard to get good photo compositions within all the unique rock formations. This has become one of my favorite locations as you can see the unique rocks within the lake. The classic violet alpenglow of Arizona made a great backdrop.
The Purple Cactus
This uniquely colored cactus caught my eye, and later the brilliant sunset glowed nearly the same color.
The Lost Tribe
One of the Sinagua ruins located in Sedona, this location is huge and remote. The people who lived here 1000 years ago certainly picked beautiful places to live.
